E Nīnau Aku I Ke Kauka

Bridging rural communities and resources was quite a challenge due to Hawai'i's unique geographic location. But with today's advanced technologies, using video-teleconferencing to connect those rural communities across the state and beyond is something Ke Ānuenue AHEC has provided for the last four years. Previous funding allowed for placement of video-teleconferencing equipment and training to partnering rural organizations, creating a network of learning centers that attend weekly interactive sessions. Participant surveys act as a wealth of information when it comes to scheduling health topics and providing a variety of qualified speakers. Our network of centers include the following:

Hawai'i Island
Ke Ānuenue AHEC
Ka'ū Rural Health Community Association
Tutu's House in Waimea

Pacific/Basin Area:
Marjuro Hospital, Marshall Islands

Maui County Sites:
Hale Hulu Mamo Senior Center in Hāna
Ke Ola Hou 'O Lāna'i in Lāna'i City
Nā Pu'uwai Native Hawaiian Health Systems

Coming Soon:
Kohala Intergenerational Center in North Kohala
